This lesson is about understanding how we communicate: how we transmit and receive, and use the common symbols we have. Students should develop a better understanding of how they communicate and the ways in which their communication styles can cause issues and mis-communication.
Students will explore two major communication theories and discuss the impact of those two theories on transmitters and receivers. Students will also explore and discuss the ethical impact of the two theories and the basic tensions created by divergent communication styles.
Students will put what they've learned to use by creating a communication plan for their organization.
