This course will review the skills necessary to pass the GED. Students will review the basic skill needed to pass each of the five tests: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
Objectives
Students will take the GED Pre-Tests to identify where they will need more work.
Students will correctly identify the asnwer to questions involving correct usage and sentence structure.
Students will write essays using good writing organization.
Students will identify the correct answers in multiple choice questions dealing with US and World history.
Students will correctly answer questions relating to civics, economics and geography.
Students will correctly answer questions related to biology and earth sciences.
Students will identify the correct answer for questions related the Physical Sciences.
Students will correctly answer questions related to the interpretation of fiction and poetry.
Students will correctly answer questions related to interpreting drama and nonfiction.
Students will correctly answer math problems involving whole numbers and basic mathematical operations.
Students will correctly solve math problems involving decimals and fractions.
Students will correctly answer math problems involving statistics, percents and probability.
Students will correctly answer questions involving solving algebraic statements and word problems.
Students will correctly answer questions involving units of measure and geomety.
Students will identify ways they can practice and prepare for the GED Exam.
