GED Social Studies Review

Description

This course will review the skills necessary to pass the Social Studies portion of the GED. Topics that will be covered include: World History, US History, Civics and Government, Economics and Geography.

Objectives

• Students will take the Social Studies pretest to determine areas in which they need to work.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to World History.
• Students will correctly identify questions related to US History.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to civics and government.
• Students will correctly answer questions dealing with Economics.
• Students will correctly answer questions related to geography.

• Students will identify ways they can prepare and practice for the GED Social Studies Exam.

Lesson 3: US History

Read and work the examples in Social Studies, chapter 2, pages 327 - 366.

Lesson 4: Civics and Government

Read and work the examples in Social Studies, chapter 3, pages 367 - 398.

Lesson 5: Economics

Read and work the examples in Social Studies, chapter 4, pages 399 - 426.

Lesson 6: Geography

Read and work the examples in Social Studies, chapter 5, pages 427 - 444.
