In this course we will cover the fundamentals of writing programs in Motif for the X Windows environment. You will create programs using widgets and learn to create your own widgets. Your Motif applications will include menus, dialog boxes and you will be able to display and format text and graphics.
Objectives
Students will create a basic Motif application.
Students will use the Resource Manager to manage interface preferences.
Students will develop Motif applications that use various Widgets.
Students will write Motif applications that have menus and display dialog boxes.
Students will write Motif applications that respond to events and user input.
